Met Council, who runs the transit buses in the metro area, stopped paying no-fault insurance benefits to injured passengers by arguing that buses were not “motor vehicles.” Jenny and Chuck organized a team of lawyers for injured passengers and worked with State Farm and GEICO to defeat Met Council.

After winning four separate times at the district court, Met Council appealed. The Minnesota Court of Appeals rejected every argument made by Met Council and affirmed that they must provide no-fault insurance benefits to injured passengers on the bus that don’t have coverage of their own.
