Being selected a Minnesota Super Lawyer is an honor bestowed on only 5% of all lawyers in the state. The process is facilitated by Super Lawyers and Law & Politics magazines. Lawyers are nominated by their peers based on professional achievements in:
- verdicts and settlements
- transactions
- representative clients
- experience
- honors and awards
- special licenses and certifications
- position within law firm
- bar / other professional activities
- pro bono and community service as a lawyer
- scholarly lectures and writings
- education and employment background
- other outstanding achievements
After being nominated, the candidates are reviewed and rated. The top 5%, who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement, are selected and the lists are published in Super Lawyers and Law & Politics.
